Michael had the opportunity to look at the original records of his Great Great Grandmother's (Catherine Folley) first marriage to Thomas Hogan. The records were held in the Church of Ireland's Cathedral in Lismore, Waterford, Ireland. Reverend Draper was very helpful. He had a large trunk of old records.

There are many Parishes that have valuable records in their possession and often they aren't available for people to view. We felt very fortunate to see these records from the 1800's.

Michael has been in contact with many people in his attempt to locate the birth or Christening records of his great grandparents and to find out more about their parents and brothers and sisters.

Unfortunately he hasn't had much luck. But the Irish people are kind to help.
Some friends have asked us to help them find their ancestors but we're finding you almost have to go there yourself and visit every Parish in the area.

We have found that the Heritage Centers in Ireland have information for a price. Many of their things are already on line through rootsireland again for a price. The price is worth it, sometimes just to eliminate possibilities.
We are still hoping that he'll have a break through and find those missing ancestors.
